This necklace was used as the
centerpiece prop for
Laffing Room Only. The
necklace has been named the Crystal Spider by the cast of the
show. Patuxent Playhouse auctioned the necklace to raise funds to continue
to provide quality family entertainment and the opportunity for the community to
perform. All proceeds from this auction are tax-deductible. Patuxent Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
About the necklace and its
creator...
The Crystal Spider is
composed entirely of Swarovski crystals (see below) and is strung on 3 strands
of Pure Silk for strength. Photos highlighting the details of the

This jewelry was designed and
hand-made by Heather Hoffman, a local artist in Southern Maryland.
Heather's work has been shown and sold at the Sower Art Barn. Her sculptures are
on display at the North End Gallery, Leonardtown, MD, as part of Youth Art
Month. Her photography appears in The Carter Building, a Maryland County
Government facility, as part of a presentation by the Women's Club of St Mary's
County. Heather was a contestant for holiday ornaments depicting Southern
Maryland; her ornament was exhibited in Annapolis, the state capitol.
